ఆసియా బ్యాడ్మింటన్ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌లో సాత్విక్, చిరాగ్ చరిత్ర - మొదటిసారి డబుల్స్‌లో స్వర్ణం!
ఆసియా బ్యాడ్మింటన్ ఛాంపియన్ షిప్‌లో భారత డబుల్స్ జోడి సాత్విక్ సాయిరాజ్, చిరాగ్ శెట్టి చరిత్ర సృష్టించారు.
Asia Badminton Championship: భారత బ్యాడ్మింటన్ డబుల్స్ జోడి సాత్విక్ సాయిరాజ్ – చిరాగ్ శెట్టి చరిత్ర సృష్టించారు. ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ఆసియా బ్యాడ్మింటన్ ఛాంపియన్ షిప్‌లో ఫైనల్లో విజయం సాధించి బంగారు పతకం సాధించారు.
ఫైనల్లో ఆరో సిడ్‌ సాత్విక్ – చిరాగ్ జోడి, ఎనిమిదో సీడ్‌ మలేసియాకు చెందిన ఆంగ్‌ యూ సిన్‌ – టియో ఈ యీ జోడిపై విజయం సాధించారు. ఈ మ్యాచ్‌లో 16-21, 21-17, 21-19తో భారత జోడి విజయం సాధించింది. ఈ మ్యాచ్ 67 నిమిషాల పాటు సాగింది.
1971లో దిపు ఘోష్, రామన్ ఘోష్ కాంటినెంటల్ ఈవెంట్‌లో కాంస్య పతకం గెలిచారు. అదే ఇప్పటివరకు భారత్‌కు అత్యుత్తమ ప్రదర్శన. కానీ సాత్విక్, చిరాగ్ బంగారు పతకంతో దాన్ని తిరగరాశారు. అయితే ఈ ఈవెంట్‌లో సింగిల్స్ విభాగంలో 1965లో దినేష్ ఖన్నా బంగారు పతకం సాధించాడు. ఇది భారత్‌కు సెకండ్ గోల్డ్ మెడల్.
