హైదరాబాద్‌కు చెందిన 18 ఏళ్ల విద్యార్థి వేదాంత్ ఆనంద్‌వాడేకు అమెరికాలోని కేస్ వెస్ట్రన్ రిజర్వ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం బ్యాచిలర్ డిగ్రీ చదివేందుకు రూ.1.30 కోట్ల స్కాలర్షిప్ అందించనుంది. ఈ మేరకు ఆ వర్సిటీ అంగీకార పత్రాన్ని, స్కాలర్షిప్ లేఖను పంపింది.
గచ్చిబౌలిలోని ఓ ప్రైవేట్‌ పాఠశాలలో ఐసీఎస్‌ఈ సిలబస్‌తో 12వ తరగతిని పూర్తి చేసిన వేదాంత్.. అమెరికాలో న్యూరోసైన్స్‌ చదవనున్నాడు. విద్యావకాశాలు, శిక్షణ ద్వారా భవిష్యత్తు తరం నాయకులను తీర్చిదిద్దే జాతీయ స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థ డెక్స్టేరిటీ గ్లోబల్‌ అతడిని గుర్తించి.. తగిన మార్గదర్శకం చేసింది.
వేదాంత్ ఆనంద్ ఆగస్టు 12న అమెరికా బయలుదేరి వెళ్లనున్నాడు. ఈ సందర్భంగా వేదాంత్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. వైద్యశాస్త్రంలో వర్సిటీ ప్రపంచంలోనే 16వ ర్యాంకులో ఉందని, 17 మంది నోబెల్‌ పురస్కార గ్రహీతలను అందించిందని పేర్కొన్నాడు. అలాంటి వర్సిటీలో చదువుకునేందుకు ట్యూషన్‌ ఫీజు మేరకు స్కాలర్షిప్ లభించిందన్నారు. నాన్న ప్రైవేట్‌ ఆసుపత్రిలో దంత వైద్యుడిగా, అమ్మ ఫిజియోథెరపిస్ట్‌గా పని చేస్తున్నారని వేదాంత్ తెలిపాడు.

An 18-year-old student from Hyderabad has got a bumper offer from a university in the US. Vedant Anand Wade will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 1.30 crore to pursue his bachelor's degree.
